Cheryl Lin, the woman behind the BusinessChic blog and brand, had a bold plan. Style her little black dress every week at work for a year and document each look. To celebrate the final 52nd look, a book release and exhibition showcasing each week’s look was planned.

This audacious plan became known as The Little Black Dress Project and we were lucky enough to create the event’s branding, photography and book plus all promotional material for the event.

A juggling act on a tight timeline as there were many elements to coordinate and execute. The launch of the book coincided with the launch of a month-long exhibition for the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program.

From start to finish we had 3 months which may seem like ample time however considering photography, branding development, copy writing, illustrations, typesetting and book layouts, marketing collateral development, print and production, social media, event organisation, guest lists and catering the 3 months felt like 3 days!

Nonetheless the project was a success with the first 500 edition of the book almost selling out.
